Well Overdue

Hi Everyone,

This will be my 4th Conference with BCNA and for those women thinking about going...its well worth it!

This particular National conference it said to "be the first time in Australia that health professionals, researchers and women with breast cancer will come together in one location to listen, learn and debate the key issues in breast cancer."

I think this is WELL overdue! And I'll be extremely interested in seeing the interaction between all involved.

Too often Health Professionals listen to us as breast cancer patients but my question is...

Do they ever HEAR us? Do they truly hear and understand what we are going through? What happens when we get home? What our families are going through? What we are still experiencing months or years down the track? I'm sure I'm not alone in my thinking, in fact, I know I'm not, and the reason I know I'm not? BCNA Conferences, the REAL women I've met and have shared experiences with.

Ths is why I encourage those women contemplating the thought, just do it, you wont regret it! (and like me, you may just meet your very best friend there!)
