Weight???
Girls...wondering how you manage your weight while going through all of this? I've always been very active, however that's obviously going to change over the coming months. Once I stop exercising I ju...
I was going to the gym 4-5 times a week before my surgery and was worried that I'd stack on the weight after my surgery and during chemo but so far my weight has remained steady. What I 've found is that in the 5-6 days immediately after each chemo treatment my appetite drops off quite a bit, my mouth is coated and sore and I can't taste food properly. I tend to eat less and lose a bit of weight . In the next two weeks my appetite comes back and I regain that weight - maybe 1.5kg. I do try to avoid junk and eat a healthy diet but I don't always succeed.
I must confess I haven't really done any exercise apart from housework and running around after my 3 kids. It's been so cold and wet and also just doing the household stuff seems to take up all my energy at the moment. I'm sure a bit of walking would do me good though.
My advice would be to concentrate on eating healthily, drink lots of water/fluids, do what exercise you can manage and beware of the comfort food - a real temptation if you're feeling a bit low.
