Thanks @SoldierCrab
I saw my surgeon today - the drain is still in! Thankfully they did not replace the bag otherwise it would have just peeled more skin off. The weeping has stopped and a scab has formed. This irritated/weeping section is in the bottom half of the ‘seal’ so they’ve been able to tape it up with skin-friendly tape (so I can shower!!). Unfortunately this restricted my movement which made it even more painful for me but luckily I was seeing my GP later on for my flu shot. He specialises in wound management so he was able to fix it up for me and it’s so much more comfortable now. Fingers and toes crossed for two days of less than 50mls of drainage in a row then I can say goodbye to the drain.
