Waiting
Hi everyone.Yesterday I found a sore lump in the lower part of my armpit.I reached up and realised that it hurt.I went to my GP this morning, feeling sure that he was going to say something like it's ...
Good luck Robyn. I know how hard it is when you are waiting on results You lie in bed at night stressing (crying) thinking the worse and unable to settle to anything. It's so hard.
Like you, I ended up at my GP the other week as I was having vertigo, morning headaches and a pain in my temple. Sent off for CT scan of my head (GP mentioned a brain lesion, a stroke, bleed on the brain etc) OMG I nearly died Ran around Hobart for the next couple of hours fully stressed out having blood tests, a CT Scan and jaw x-ray. Needless to say, a couple of days later I found that both were clear. I still wake with a headache most mornings and suffer from vertigo (have some wonderful exercises to do now ie throwing my self side to side on the bed which are suppose to help). My GP thought that the headaches, vertigo and pain in my temple were probably due to the anesthetic and the muscle in my jaw being stretched!
I felt such a fraud but my GP assured me that if ever I find anything that worried me the best thing to do is to get it checked. It's part and parcel of having had cancer.
As my husband said to me "just go with the flow, don't stress - we'll worry about it once we know the result". Wonderful man who keeps me on the straight and narrow. Easier said and done though!
Thinking of you. Hugs.
