Waiting

I've told all the family now. Next is the surgery on Tuesday. Then the chemo. My gorgeous daughter bought me a hat on Friday for when my hair goes. She Is also making arrangements to come with me when I start radiation. We live in the country so I'll have to stay up in the city for a little while. My granddaughter wants to come too....she's too young to understand what's going on. Thankyou for all the lovely comments on my first post. Deb

    Hi Deb, sounds like you have your supporters, bless her, buying you a hat. I am facing chemo in a few weeks, and I thought losing my hair would be ok. But I love my hair, so long, dark and curly. I feel like I just won't be me without it. But yesterday, I found some head scarf folding websites, went out and bought some scarves and gave it a go. I feel heaps better now. That just seems so pathetic to focus on appearance right now, and I never really have been like that. Louie
