Waiting

Hi everyone.I was wondering if anyone out there has had the same experience as me with results.I had my mastectomy on 17th Sep.and all went well.Monday of this week I saw the oncologist,and she told me I am HER2 positive.She organized all my chemo and herceptin to follow,and then yesterday she called me to say that the second test they do is showing negative.They will now do a 3rd special test to decide.Has anyone had this?Best wishes to everyone and thanks.Robyn

    Hi Robyn, At one of my appointments we talked about the HER2 test showing up false positives/negatives. He said they always should do a second test (usually with the tissue they remove at the time of surgery) to double check on the HER2 status. Could this be what has happened to you? Hannah X
