Waiting for results... again
When I was first diagnosed back in January and had the standard CT scan, the report showed a few tiny spots in each lung, around 1mm each. My breast surgeon and oncologist both said it was most likely an overzealous registrar who wrote the report, as a 1mm spot would be near impossible to see on a blurry CT image. They went ahead with my treatment plan as though the spots were nothing. However, since they had been reported, they booked me in for a follow up chest CT after 6 months just to be sure. Well, today was that test. I now have a week to anxiously await my result and, hopefully, find out the spots were, indeed, nothing. I had put all this to the back of my mind during treatment, trusting my docs completely. Now I have to deal with the what-ifs. It's gonna be a long week, I think.

- Thank you lovely ladies for your virtual hand-hold. The nodules in my lungs are unchanged, so my breast surgeon is happy that I'm cancer free!! Feeeew! Mammo of other breast in 6 months, otherwise no more tests required. I hope

- @Molly001 all the best for results today, let us know how you go. @LMK74 hugs to you too for your results in October of the Bone Scan, unfortunately all this is routine, still I found it confronting. At my 2nd diagnosis in 2015 I had a lumpectomy and before I left hospital I had full scans done just to be certain, they were all clear and fine as were my nodes. They are just so thorough and that's a good thing!

re lung spots.
I was found to have several in my initial CT scans before chemo. The Report and the Oncologist said they were probably nothing to worry about.
while on my second type of chemo and in hospital I had another chest CT scan, there were more spots! They had come up during chemo.
Another scan two months later and after chemo had finished, and they were unchanged.
My Oncologist wants another scan after radiation finishes and before I go on AI.
So it will probably be nothing, hopefully your's will be too. - Good luck tomorrow. I had my bone scan yesterday but don't see my oncologist until October. At the end of my scan they said, now we are just doing a quick chest ct and I don't recall them doing that last time. I'm not really stressing about it all though.
- Seeing breast surgeon tomorrow for CT scan results. Hopefully I'll get some sleep tonight!

I had the same thing when first diagnosed. I went back after finishing AC and before Paclitaxol for another CT scan to see if the Chemo had shrunk it or not. I actually picked up the scans so I could read the results. Lucky for me it was still there, the same size and it was called a granuloma. I cried tears of relief.
Ill keep everything crossed that you have the same results.
