Seen the specialist today the second surgery removed all the DCIS cells and had a very clear margin. Next step appointment with the oncology team , mixed feeliongs about it .On one side scared and worried about side effects on the other can hardly wait to pass this next step. Hope that I'll see the oncology teas ASAP , as this waiting is getting the better of me.
I can finally settle a little bit I found out today that the medical oncologist and radiation oncologist will see me on the 15/8/11 and set up a plan of action for my treatment. I feel better now surgical site is nice and clean my arm hurts now and then thru the day it seems to be worsed in the afternoon , hope will get better in time.
yes, waiting is hard. i know what you mean starting chemo to fight those cancer cells. all these new experiences! on the one hand scary. on the other, the next step towards hopefully successful treatment.
