Venlafaxine xr
Since starting on venlafaxine a few days ago I have noticed my mouth is very dry. Is there anyone here who takes this medication. Is this a common side effect? If so, please tell it will pass.

Yes, the ladies who have answered your post are correct, the dry mouth feeling will pass but please do take note of Nellie's comments re the withdrawal symptoms. It is a shocker to get off so try to wean yourself off it (with your medico's approval) as soon as you feel strong enough to do so. I did it ever so gradually - the headaches, fogginess and brain zaps were no fun !.
Do some research on it. I even spoke with the maker of the drug for the best advice. Your pharmacist may be able to give you some help as well. I was given a 'natural' substance to help me get through the worst of the brain zaps.
