Venlafaxine xr
Since starting on venlafaxine a few days ago I have noticed my mouth is very dry. Is there anyone here who takes this medication. Is this a common side effect? If so, please tell it will pass.

Hi Lorraine. I believe this quite a common side effect with this class of drug. I am on a similar drug, but don't get the dry mouth. I believe there is a range of products under the name Biotene, or similar, that are supposed to quite good at alleviating dry mouth symptoms.
