Hi Christina, where will you be staying? Is there a cancer council lodge nearby?
if your having a mastectomy overhead arm movement will be limited and you will need to sleep on your back for a while - so pillows are a must to help get you in a comfy position to sleep - loose easy fitting clothes/ pjs with button fronts that are easy to get in and out of. I lived in an ahh bra as you can step in to them and pull them up rather than having to try and do them up - and they are soft and comfy to sleep in. Arrange things within easy reach, low down so no stretching over head, books, crosswords mucic on an iPod.
Preparing before hand hand makes it easier when you come out and it also gives you something else to think about. Preparing some meals that you can freeze is also handy to take the load off too.
All the best
Chris
