Hello lovelys, just wanted to update u all on my latest treatment plan-----had my 1st dose of double chemo last wednesday, waited for the big wipeout, but no, didn't happen!! Feeling really good, maybe its the daily dose of steroids helping out. Will see what the next dose brings :) Enjoying some renewed energy, lots of cupboards getting cleaned out at the minute and i even got my artist paints out the other day and finished a painting i had started a long time ago :) Hope all is good with everyone xx

Hi Samantha, Lovely to hear from you and glad the double chemo is not wiping you out. I too have been New Year clearing out and reorganising a bit. Do not do too much at once.... lol. Hope you can keep painting also. I like to do a few creative things too at times. I have been in the garden and rearranging the lounge room and clearing son's old room. He lives in Melbourne now. I might be over in March, for his uni graduation, not sure of the dates as yet. Yesterday I had a lovely swim with a friend at Bridport, 20 kms away from me, on the North coast of Tasmania. I will try to have a few more before the cooler weather again. Kathy.

Hi Samantha I have been following your posts and am rejoicing for you that the current chemo has restored your lost energy. What combination are you on? I have energy for all the things I want to do, but use the metastatic breast cancer card when it comes to things like doing the garden!! It was always a chore for me, now I have an excuse. All treatment is at warrnambool..so a lot easier for us..can't wait to catch up with the girls next month Sam :) xx

Hey Sam, just catching up with your news. Sorry you're having to go with the chemo, but good to hear you're feeling good with it. And great to hear about the painting! I'm just starting on a Dumbo painting for my niece (who's giving birth any minute!) -- we'll have to swap pics! :)

Hi Joy, doing carbolplatin + abraxane + Herceptin...still on daily dexamethosone so i think that is helping a lot for now..even went for an early morning swim today!!! Loving it..haven't felt this good for 6 months (since whole brain radiotherapy and tykerb/xelodaa oral chemo)

I don't mind pottering in the garden now, but i used to be out there a lot pre BC..now not so much!! lol
