Update

Hi All,  I haven't been on for quite a while and am hoping everyone is managing ok and that some of you are now done with your chemo, or at least almost done with it and on the road to recovery and feeling human again.

My final cycle  is next week on the 26th July.  In some ways I can't wait but since I haven't quite bounced back from the last one yet I am not quite ready for it yet.  I shouldn't complain as I have managed chemo much better than I expected and my oncologist has been good prescribing whatever I needed to help with the side effects.  I think mine have been far less than some.  Maybe I am just a whinger.  LOL I do a lot better dealing with pain.  Give me the after affects of meningitis again rather than this chemo stuff.  Yes, I know, I am nuts.

The queen sized quilt that I started before chemo is at a stand still, my concentration isn't good enough to do any more but I have been able to make some chemo beret/hats out of fleecy that I found in the cupboard.  I will be taking at least another dozen with me next week for other patients.  I make one for myself and with the rest of the fabric I am making some for others.  At least the pattern is simple enough for the amount of concentration that I have left.

At the end of August or early October Sergio and I will be off to the Grampians for a short stay.  It will be a celebration of chemo being over and me on the road to recovery and feeling human again.  That I am looking forward to.

Hoping this finds everyone as well as you can be.

Love and hugs to all

Elayne.
