I was wondering if anyone has had a reaction like mine. I finished radiation on 5 Nov - seemed to cope very well (apart from a bad burn and infection) and then... my face and neck came up in terrible red welts which blistered and then oozed out yellow liquid. It is very acute the itch is unrelenting. Taking antibiotics, steroids and antihistimines but nothing helping. My GP says it is a reaction to the radiation but my oncologist says it has nothing to do with radiation. I had a boost dose through a diffuser which was only about 3cm from my face as I have nodes in the centre of my chest as well as my armpit. Can anyone give any help or guidance - this is driving me crazy.
