Triple Negative Journey

Hi,  My Triple Negative Jounney starting in September 2011 50 years old,  diagnosed with Breast Cancer Grade 3.  I was sent off for BRAC testing as my sister and mother had both died of breast cancer.  my  Breast Cancer was a Triple Negative which I have learnt since can have a tie in with BRAC gene.  I was diagnosed with the BRAC1 gene so opted for the Double Mascectomy & reconstruction.  Also had Chemo for 3 months.  It is now March 2013 and I have just had my Tattoo for my breast and they look amazing.  Hopefully they won't kill me now.  I think of them as my ticking time bombs.  My brother who also got tested has come back as BRAC1.  Hope this journey helps some other.
