Triple Negative battle

Hi all,

I am coming up to my 3rd chemo of EC this coming wednesday. I can not wait for chemo to finish but I have another 14 rounds to go.

I find the actual chemo doable but not the needles. Heres hoping that one day it will all be taken in the form of a small tablet!

I went into this ready to do what it takes but its turned out harder than i thought. The research I've done on Triple negative isnt very promising either. Its alot to take in at the moment but I know I just have to do it.

  • Hi Narelle

I was also diagnosed with TNBC  August 2011 and operated in Spetember 2011. After 4 rounds of chemo and the radiation for 33 days. I had probelms with finding veins they can inject to and I am so scared of needles.I had no lymph node involvment either.

I found if I read that was in the internetc I was going to go crazy. But I read many things anyway. These days most people recover. Lots of rest between help. I found work helped me to keep my mind off the little nagging things but depends on each person.

Wish you the very best.  It is hard we don't have a tablet that we can take for this. I did radiation before chemo and found even that along made me tired. May be the drive to the hospital before work early in the morning :)

     Good luck with it

Keep your chin up it finishes and then you can start recovering.

I found a book from the US site that simplified everything

  • Big hugs Narelle... Keep on keeping on. It will be over before you know it xxxx
  • I was diagnosed with TNBC last March had lumpectomy and sentinel node . No lymph involved. Had 4 rounds TC and 6 1/2. Weeks radiation . There is a group on here which is great . Also there is a print out on TNBC as well. I was overwhelmed by my diagnosis but was good to get on here and talk to other ladies with TNBC . Good booklet available from a English site helped me a lot as well. Wishing you all the best. Hard we don't have any other treatment other than chemo and radiation but hoping they find more treatments soon. All the best Deb
