Hi there. I am a two time triple negative survivor :) 2009 and 2011. My veins were trashed by the chemo in 2009 and whilst I balked at the thought of a port in 2009 I had no option in 2011. It was the best decision I ever made. Once it is in there is no more stress re needles:). I am about to finally have it removed it 2 weeks when I go in for a prophylactic mastectomy and double reconstruction. (A story for another time). I agree with Ativan also. Breezed through chemo with that lovely little pill. Really relaxed me and when you are relaxed side effects much better. Triple negative is not all bad as others have said. If you can get to five years the survival rates are really great. Good luck and hang in there. It does get better. Big hugs. Paula.
