Chemo brain gets me out of heaps of stuff AND ensures that i have an excuse when i have only half done something!!!

Lucky I have a wonderful hubby who laughs at my chemo brain! I have accepted that I need to watch the Bold and the Beautiful every afternoon and Dr Phil at noon and rest inbetween!!!!

I dont talk to the negative people anymore, not that I had many just a couple of disgruntled fellow employees who were set the task of doing my job and then whinged to no end about it- not that they actually did it either........ so I only have happy people contact me now!

Ive also learnt how to make cushions and how to make a dry chocolate cake into a yummy master chef worthy treat!

You are right, I need to not think to far ahead. I think that will help alot with this. At this stage they wont give me a port. we will see how I go when I start my 12 weeks straight of Paclitaxel.

I am apart of YPS, they helped me greatly going into my first chemo session. The amount of day to day information from them is wonderful.

It's amazing to see all the different chemo schedules we have all had.

Good luck with maintenance tablet, lets hope they can make a chemo tablet to get rid of the drips!!!

Hi Dayna,

Im starting to see some benefits like the no medication for 10 years! im over tablets as well.

I dont have anything in place but i know i wont get a port because they wont give it to me. I will see how i go, I have one more in two weeks and then 12 back to back weekly.

I have one more EC to go (which is every 3 weeks) and then onto Paclitaxel. How did you find the Paclitxel? I have 12 weeks straight of it. At the moment I generally wont drive until the week befor EC, i think its safer for the general public that way!!!!

I dont know yet if I will have Radiation after chemo or if it will come after a possible double mastecomy.

Oh I have anxiety tablets to take befor chemo dont you worry about that, and the nurses get the needle in as quick and as easy as possible with me now.

They wont give me a port only a canula, but i havent decided yet, I guess it depends on the 12 week sessions.

Its great talking to someone who hears me loud and clear!!!

Hi Diane,

I found all my info on the TNBC foundation web site. It was a great help in understanding what my diagnosis means and also sad to find out that TNBC doesnt have the support with medication that hormone fed cancers do.

EC is Epirubicin and Cyclophosphamide. I have one more of these 2 to go and then 12 rounds of Paclitaxel. In one month I will find out if they found a BRACA1 or 2 which will determine Radiation or operations first.

Sorry to hear sheer joy , just let chemo kick its Butt :)
