Treatment starts Monday
Hi everyone,
Last bloods etc today and visit to oncologists, treatment starts on Monday 23rd. I will have Docetaxel/Cyclophosphamide, 4 rounds with herceptin. Now it is very real and I know it won...
Good luck Jen! I recently finished the same treatment and will be starting the radiotherapy part of my journey on the same day!
I would advise to take Robyn's advice and start taking something to prevent the constipation before it happens! I didn't get the pre-warning and it wasn't a fun ride.
I also got crazy weird cravings, very unlike me! Remember to keep your fluids up, it really does help to flush the chemo drugs out of your system as quick as you can and help keep your blood pressure steady. My taste buds changed dramatically but keep eating lots of healthy veggies etc regardless, even when you don't feel like eating, it helps the body bounce back better in-between rounds!
