Treatment options ?
Hi All,
Hope your all doing better than i am. :( I started Chemo (AC) in may, and was on 4th cycle, when the doctors reviewed my scan and realised that the treatment was only target one area of my b...
I am very sorry to hear that you've hit a stumbling block in your treatment :-(. I have bone mets and lung mets, and have found it a challenge finding the right treatment for me, so I know how you feel....disappointed, confused, sad, devastated, terrified and alone no doubt! Someone very wise once said to me "you've hit a detour in your treatment...not a road block" and this sounds like where you are at......so please do not lose hope!
I had 6 cycles of Taxotere, before being told that my cancer had become resistant to it, and had spread to my bones. I was totally devastated. I was frightened and confused. What does this mean? Will this cancer be controlable? Will a new treatment work? Will I die? I understand your fear Miss V and it's a dreadful feeling. Having said that however, it is very important not to give up hope!
Like you, my chemo was swapped to a different one (Vinorilbene). After much anxiety and waiting for results, my new treatment is working...and working well! Please know that this can happen for you too! :-) The uncertainty is tough I know.....the unknown is scary.....but from what I understand there are many chemo combinations out there that can be tried!..never give up...Take care, Celeste?
