Transfusion fear

My red blood count is 75 and the Dr's are wanting me to have a transfusion. It is my last chemo and I really want to avoid a transfusion as I have a huge aversion to even the thought of it. I would...

Thanks for your support wonderful women,

They retested me today and I had a slight increase so they were happy for me to not receive a transfusion (once I had downplayed my symptoms).

besides the obvious aversion to someone elses bodily fluids circualting through your body My fear is a bit irrational I think. It is about feeling helpless and having to rely on others for this life source. i hope I dont sound disrespectful to people who have needed it because that is the irrational thing, I obviously dont feel this way about others who have needed transfusions. It is just another one of my myriad of psychological troubles with self acceptance etc..

something that needs work in the future.. but for now, my magical avoidance techniques have reigned once again..whatever gets you through.

I will stop my post chemo rambling now ..
