Today

Good morning ladies today I have seen my Plastic surgeon for the last time, he is really happy with the result and so am I. I also went and seen the tatooist to have my nipple tattoed.

It has been a long trip, this time last year I was still having chemo and planning my mastectomy and reconstruction. This last 12 -14 months have been hard and I never thought I would get to the end but here Iam. I have had my first mamogram, 1 more herceptin to go and I now have perky boobs to all the newbies hang in there it does get better one day at a time.

  • Hi Nicole I'm in Melbourne. I hope you cope with the taxol I didn't have this.

It is all about making the milestones, you will get there, sending you positive vibes.

  • Congratulations Rowdy on getting through the tough journey.  I too had a double mastectomy (on 13th January 2015) I also had the expanders put in too. Last Friday I had my first saline fill since surgery it didn't hurt but I did take 1 Endone and 2 Panadol before, my chest area is a little sore and uncomfortable at the moment but that is too be expected I also feel the expanders are under my arms so I look forward to the end of chemo so I can finally have the implants and the nipple tattooing done. I am on the Gold Coast where are you having it done?

Today I had my last AC (4 sessions in total) on 28th May 2015 I start weekly Taxol for 12 weeks I hope it doesn't make me as sick as the AC . Oh well I'll just have go wait and see and pray it is easier.

Hope all you ladies are doing well or at least comfortable.  I must stop here as I am really tired bye for now and take care. Nicole xx
