today

Today I went to work thinking I only need to work another 7 days and I will be on my way to hawaii. (this is my celebration for getting through treatment) Everyday we wake up and don't know how our day will go. I had a busy day as there was sick leave and I was driving along and some man decided that he was in too much of a hurry to give way. He ran into the side of my car, the back door took the main hit if he had have hit the drivers door I would have been hurt. Sitting in the car shaking like a leaf I was very grateful that I wasn't hurt just really shook up.

It just goes to show , you never know what is going to happen. Every day is a blessing and we all need to try and stay positive. I'm getting a bit sick of being knocked down, had a winge time to suck it up and get on wtih my day, take care all.

  • Hi Karen I hope you are having a good holiday. A friend of mine is having alot of crap happening in her life at the moment and when we get together we laugh. We are there for each other as we both know how life can change so quickly. Happt 50 th and many many more to come, I have always said birthdays are important and now more than ever I appreciate mine and that I'm healthy (not normal as I don't think I have ever been normal. take carex

  • Hi Rowdy

I'm  currently on my yay finishing treatment/50th birthday holiday. The lead up has been horrendous in the last 7 weeks. I too had a minor car accident, got the sack blah, blah, blah! You wonder what China man you ran over in a past life! Unfortunately it's just life isn't it? Stuff happens and you are right, acknowledge it, have a whinge, suck it up and get on with it. I'm relieved you weren't hurt, cars can be fixed or replaced. Have a wonderful time on your holiday. You deserve it! Take care. Karen xox

Good grief Rowdy, that would have really shaken you up. I hope that you have an awesome trip to Hawaii as you deserve to celebrate the completion of your treatment. As long as you are alright and not injured that's the main thing. Cheers, Tracey B
