Hi Mich
I think the list idea is great. I was never a list type of girl but now I have lists everywhere or I struggle to remember anything.
I have had to re-evaluate my priorities. I often think I have all this time off work.. My house should be the tidiest it's ever been. If I get the washing in and out that's great. I now take the basket to my kids and ask them to grab their things and fold them for me. I washed 5 loads the other day after constant rain and was exhsusted from hanging it out.
I find cooking a real pain... Deciding what to have then being bothered to actually cook it. That's if it doesn't make me feel nauseas smelling it. On a good day I try and cook meals to freeze but like you I don't bother to eat much if it's only me home. I've found tinned soup great for those nights.
I'm saving heaps on groceries as no energy to shop... I've had to use all the tins etc in the cupboard as well as the bits and pieces in the freezer. If I do shop I take my boys as I struggle lifting the things from the shelf and in / out of trolley and car. Think this started with my lung clots.
Mich don't be too hard on yourself..... Use the time to follow less strenuous hobbies like reading. I visited local book exchange before chemo yesterday. I've also been painting up some old textured frames I've sourced from op shops and have painted glossy black. I've printed off photos of family and friends in black and white and will hang them going up my staircase. You'll have to send me a pic for my wall of fame :) got the idea from old better homes and gardens mag.
Your body needs time to heal after each chemo as does your mind.
Take care of yourself
