If you place in the search bar  cancerchoice.com.au it will bring up several blogs that are interesting to read. Especially the ABC Report and the Knowledge and Choice blog.  Worth a read when you are searching for help.

I wonder why Daina didn't recommend these sites to you?

Today is my One Year anniversary of being diagnosed and my life has returned to a relatively normal existance again.

I had surgery, chemo, more surgery and radiation and am about to have my last surgery this Friday and to be honest at times I have wondered about the road I chose but I am alive and I am back at work and enjoying myself.

Thanks Donna - the whole experience has been interesting to say the least..and every day reveals something new and not always fabulous. I find this forum great support as no one can truly understand unless they have walked in the same shoes! I also try to find humour in a situation where I can and as so looking forward to going through menopause with my chemo! All the very best. Stacey

its so hard being faced with this awful thing called cancer, to then have to make life decisions when we are unsettled is so difficult.

Stacey, I think you should be getting a second opinion from another oncologist, you seem to be taking advice from these blogs, this site should only be for support and information.  The pink ladies do not have the knowledge of your particular pathology results - which is what all decisions are based on, not personal choice.

I had decided on Friday that I would do the chemo and am now at the oncologist to book it in. I was thinking - why would I not do chemo - I need to give myself every chance that it won't come back. i hhope this is not taken the wrong way; but ive been wondering if support groups can have a bias towards certain treatments--and as a bcna employee? --its helpful to highlight another post but this one had a bias towards chemotherapy 

and could you have also highlighted, for eg, some australian research about treatment outcomes etc

that give another perspective?
