This is Annie from the Policy team at BCNA. I just wanted to thank you for posting about this research project - the results certainly are interesting, and look promising in steering the direction of future research.
I also just wanted to mention that this study was extremely small, and only a Phase II clinical trial. A Phase III clinical trial involving many more women would be need to be run before researchers can say with confidence that the treatment is working. Given this, it is important to note that the development of any new treatments as a result of this research will be a long way off.
In the meantime it's still a good idea for women to talk to their oncologists if they have any questions.
