Time to understand about your Chemo Curls
Time to understand about your Chemo Curls
Just a quick one for thoes who is going through chemo curl. My views:
* Embrace the NEW YOU - yes that comes with curls
* try a new hairdresser, who will not say "your hair WAS this, your hair WAS that". You would be amaze what the new hair-dresser can do with you new hair. Be open ... there's nothing to lose. No point hanging to the old-look, since this is the NEW you now. The strength of going through what you have just gone through, empower you to try new things - even it is only a new hairdresser!
* be PATIENT - shave it for a month or two before growing it. Let you hair follical strenghten, and the "pacman" drug dissipate from your body. (p.s. I shaved for another 6 weeks, before I was emotionally ready to let go of my chemo style image, and embracing the new funky me with spikey hair).
Amy's 2 cents worth ...
It is a journey, enjoy it. It is more fun then chemo. At least you get to visit the Hairdress often, rather then the hospital. :)
It WAS only a Word, Not a Life Sentence.
NOW it is only Curls, AGAIN Not a Life Sentence.
Yes it may be little Grey, a touch colour will help.
Why look back, when you can look forward.
It is okay to REMINISCE your old photos, it is not okay to compare it.
Little reading for you from ;)
