Time to relax

well things have been really great for me and my family, firstly i was worried that Cruella had entered my brain but after haveing a MRI we found that not to be the case woot woot.

I had oncology on Wed and discussing my latest CT scan the result is that i dont need to see the Registra Peter for 9 WEEKS we are sooooo excited and also to add to the good news i dont need to have Denosumab (calcium) needles Peter is happy for me to take vit D instead...how lucky am i,,

i also would like to welcome my sister Suzan to BCNA she has been the rock for me and my darling Hubby in the early stages and still quietly in the back ground now that whirl wind has settled down.  Sue was my ears from the beginning and the one who saw me throw tantrums and listen to me when i have weak moments,,,,shes the best sister anyone could have,, only once i saw her break down,, and thats when we were told Cruella had spread to my organs and bones... i was her rock then and encouraged her to cry and throw tantrums cos they feel great!

Love you sis xoxoxo

  • Congratualtions on things turning a corner for you. It is so good to read when our pink sisters have positive results.

We are so lucky to have our sisters, I agree. I am the youngest and after my last surgery my elder sister was here mothering me and just making sure that I was doing ok, she flew home and then sister number 2 arrived. I could not have made it through without them, they were just awesome and my love for them has grown incredibly. I am also blessed with a best friend that lest me cry, get angry and she understands and is there for me.

So for me our support network is just as important as the doctors and the tratments they provide.

Good luck with continued good news

    cheers

    Donna

  • Cobie you have had heaps to deal with so a few tantrums and tears to prove you are human is quite okay! I really hear your excitement that things are turning a healthier corner for you with your treatment - congrats. Kudos to Suzan, my support was my dear friend of thirty plus years! What a tower of strength and my stuff happened just as she was having to find the right nursing home for her Mum. So a real treasure that I sincerely appreciate. May everyone have a sister or friend like ours! Keep going from strength to strength, k
