Time to finish what has been started ...goodbye ovaries

You've come this far @fairydust I can agree with the others who have had little or no issue with getting rid of their ovaries. I think the two week recovery period is just a guide--all surgery carries risk, but compared to the rest of the stuff I've done, the oophorectomy was a doddle.
I had some pain from the gas they use to inflate your abdomen and was a bit tired and crabby after the surgery but once I got over that I couldn't tell the difference.
This whole performance is just exhausting and the idea of going in for another op is not attractive, but once it is done it's done and you have eliminated another risk and cause for worry.
