time flies
Wow how fast time has gone by. It has been quite some time since I have written anything. Having Herceptin infusion every three weeks seems to make time fly so much faster as you no sooner recover f...
Hi Helen & June
I live in a small village called Bute which is about 40km from Kadina and 180km from Adelaide, which with all the travel we do for oncologist and scans etc at the Lyell McEwin I wouldn't move closer as its so peaceful and stress free here.
Helen with Herceptin I have few SE's main one is tiredness and since starting Herceptin I now suffer motion sickness plus even tho' I don't have chemo I do suffer chemo brain I am so forgetful and its very frustrating. The joint aches and pains I get I am told is due to the Femara not Herceptin. I had a full hysterectomy a few years previous to dx and did take HRT but now I can't due to being ER+ and the hot flushes can be pretty bad I am not looking forward to summer as I no longer can deal with being hot as I tend to go dizzy and nauseous its like having heat stroke.
June I know what you mean about the clothing as I have a powerport in and have to make sure I wear tops that allow easy access to it and when I go for all the scans which luckily they try and arrange all in one day due to the distance I travel I make sure I don't wear metal so I don't have to strip off all the time.
Hopefully the joint aches will ease with time and I have found walking does help but if I over do it the pain gets so bad my knees throb at night.
All the best with treatments and managing the SE's
Sue
