Hi Liz, nice story ! Glad you had a nice bike ride and swim with your younger son. I love the water and went for a swim yesterday, at Bridport beach, 15 mins away from where I live. Well I mostly just tread water these days. I do like it though. My son was 10 when I was diagnosed. He is now 23 !
For some reason when 10, he wondered if he had caused the BC when I was first diagnosed. I had reassured him he had not. Funny how children can think.
I too had some concerns re lymphoedema. Have you learnt manual drainage ? Also there is scanning light laser to help quicker healing, softening scar tissue and helping with discomfort in the area.
