I felt exactly like you did! I put up with the pain, thinking I'd be better off leaving any radiotherapy until I was virtually crippled, as there are limits on the number of times you can have radiotherapy in one area. I spoke to the Radiation Oncologist about leaving the radiotherapy until "later" but he strongly encouraged I go ahead. I'm so, so glad he did as I have my life back! I have NO pain whatsoever now! I felt immediate relief as soon as I got off the treatment bed! I had put up with the pain, day and night, and they wanted to put me on very strong pain killers, but I'm so glad I opted for the radiotherapy cos its magic stuff!
