This time last year...

I am booked to have my 1-yr post surgery U/S and mammagram on the 12th Feb.

When I have scans, xrays etc, I generally wait at radiolagy for the report and films and take them with me on the daythe scans etc are done. This means I can read and digest  the report myself before I go to the Dr, and have a little time to prepare questions in advance, and be half-way ready for the discussion I  need to have with the Dr.

Since I live an hour's drive away, they have kindly booked me in for my scans etc at 9.45, and then for the breast surgeon at 12.15. I think I will be taking the scans and reports across with me, but will have mighty little time to prepare questions.

I am pretty sure all will be well, because my oncologist, (who is married to my surgeon), has been checking my other breast, liver, lymph nodes etc quite thorougly every 3 months,

My sole concerns are my ongoing fatigue, and  also the headaches and slight vertigo that have been plaguing me since a bit before Xmas when I had to provide my insurance company with profit and loss accounts, so struggled with numbers, spreadsheets and Excel from 2pm to 2am on the day of my herceptin.

I think that it was just tiredness or fatigue it should be right by now. But it will be good to have a chance to talk to him about this.

I generally go in with a notebook and a list of topics on the agenda, and give him my list of topics eg"headaches and vertigo", and then he knows if I have asked about everything or not, as well as following his own spiel.

I am lucky to have a team who are both very gentle and easy to communicate with.
