Hi Amy, yes hope is a powerful word.  My GP has Stage IV prostate cancer and he told me when he was diagnosed if anyone ever told him to stay positive he would be after them.  He likes to refer to himself as realistically optimistic, which I also like the sound of.

My Onc has never given me the years, months, days etc, he doesn't even use the word remission.  My constant questions to him is Are there still options.  He knows this is what I want the answer too and he automatically just tells me as we leave his office.
