I identify with this experience. I have only been to the Radiation facility at Nambour (Qld) once for my preliminary visit, I won't start radiotherapy until October. But there was a group of mostly elderly people arrived on a bus while I was there too. They were from regional areas of Qld and were treating the experience of staying on the Sunshine Coast for their radiation treatment as an opportunity for a holiday. They were full of good cheer and really brightened the atmosphere, joking around with each other and staff.
It certainly has me feeling positive about this stage of treatment and helped myself and my daughter who had come with me for this visit feel very comfortable with the facility.
