Ali,
There is and yes there is purpose in all of this. I lost my son 9 years ago, I absolutely thought I could not go on. But I am still here. With the cancer diagnosis I went into a deep depression and made the journey through chemo much worse than it should have been. You have been given a huge amount to deal with all at once, my heart goes out to you even though I probably do not understand your immense sadness. I wont even try as I already know what it feels like when someone tries to say they do understand when they cannot possibly do that.
Try to take one day at a time, losing our hair and eyelashes along with breasts and everything else we lose physically is terrible, let yourself grieve over those losses, but dont stay in that place for too long. Try to love the new you, looking in the mirror is hard in the beginning, but try to make yourself smile back at yourself now and again, even if it is just a little smile. This is incredibly healing and believe in the fact that you can do this and you will survive and yes you can be happy again.
Dont expect to be the same, the experience will change you and only you can decide if it is for the better. I hope you can, I hope you stay on this website for support and some heartwarming love.
Sandi
