I agree with everyone regarding google, stay away from it, only serves the purpose of scary the daylights out of you. I was diagnosed with TNBC last November, now completed chemo and finding my energy, hair, eyelashes are finally returning.
Chemo is a tuff gig, but it is doable and TN responds very well to it. I have discussed the negative prognosis you read on google with my oncologist and he has dispelled most of the things you read.
I have met and spoken to quite a few TNBC ladies who are still going strong after 10 years and beyond. Over and above that, we dont get to choose our breast cancer, what a ridiculous thing for that person to say. I have made a rule to only discuss my BC with positive people now, not the ones who give you the sympathetic "oooh". Our life is not over because of this disease, it has just gone in another direction.
Please stay positive, you will have days when you feel sad, then as the days go by you will feel better again and when the chemo is over you will look back and be very proud of yourself. You can do this, use the site to vent and ask questions when you are unsure.
