Sounds like I have a similar diagnosis to you, pure DCIS, I was treated as a private patient and did not have hormone testing in pathology either. Can you explain why this is important. I was diagnosed and in surgery within a week so didn't really have time to get educated on everything. I'm going back in for surgery on Tuesday for the bilateral masectomy and temp expanders so can talk to my surgeon about this more.
Also can you explain how you can't get clear margins with a masectomy? It's all a bit confusing for me.
I hope you get some sleep tonight and manage to see another surgeon.
