The story so far
This year is going to be a write-off for me. Two weeks into the year I found a lump in my breast which led to an ultrasound, mammogram and biopsies to be diagnosed with breast cancer just over one mo...
Hi T-Bird - it's a tough road to travel - don't you just love the 'bag'? And funny about the KMart guy. Hopefully drains are out now? Hideous things but it's all temporary...even chemo if it's required. I had 4 doses and lost my hair (actually shaved it off on day 3 and managed to raise $2000 which I donated to the Mater and Wesley Choices). I wore a wig and as much as I didn't like it, it made me feel more feminine at work ohh and my prosthesis. Again, it's all just for a short time in the scheme of things. My hair has grown back better (and darker - my hairdresser had something to do with that) and I'm quite enjoying playing with different styles - just goes to show that sometimes there can be a positive through the process. Good luck with the onco appt and great news that you had clear nodes
Take care Alex xx
