The story so far
This year is going to be a write-off for me. Two weeks into the year I found a lump in my breast which led to an ultrasound, mammogram and biopsies to be diagnosed with breast cancer just over one mo...
Hello T bird,
You are still very young at 36. I'm 43 and was diagnosed at 42 last October . I still feel youg, although the chemo is knocking me around. I had a left mastectomy. I too had a pretty bag to hide my drain drain tubes. Also I didn't get expanders put in for the same reason you mentioned. Hopefully I'll get the expanders soon after chemo finishes, on my way to new boobs and looking and feeling female again. I was thinking earlier today as I lie in bed with such bone pain from the taxol chemo that I've turned into an asexual " it". No hair, one boob, constipated, tears and possibly no ovaries ( Still thinking that one over). Don't feel like a female at all!! T bird your ability to make this funny is fantastic. I really hope you don't loose it throughout your journey. You made me laugh. Please keep posting your story as I'm sure your sense of humour will make a lot of ladies smile. Wishing you speedy travel with your new aerodynamic style.
Take care,
mandy
