It's awful to have to start a new year with all that treatment ahead of you.I'm sorry to hear that you had cancer in some lymph nodes. However, hormone positive is better pathology in the cancer world. You are probably waiting on the Hercept protein result - negative is good. The results are never black and white are they. But give us a few days to get our head around it all, then we can cope and fight on.I have a work colleague who had bc with 5 lymph nodes affected back in 2003.She is now 63yrs old, working fulltime, fighting fit and still smokes like a chimney! Here's me being extra healthy and cop it again in the same place. You just can't predict what lies ahead. All you can do is have the treatments and hope for the best.Yes,you can kiss a big chunck of 2012 goodbye. It won't be an exciting year but you'll probably make the most of the little everyday things that give us pleasure. Chemo is the hardest physically, of all the treatments and that is when you should muster up more troops to help you.You are coping really well with the mastectomy- is the drain out?Take it easy.
