The Journey
No wonder they call it a journey - It can be a real bumpy road. The past couple of months I have felt like I am in some kind of crazy bad dream. I have had the 'lumpectomy' then the partial mastecto...
Hi Debbie, reading your post reminded me so much of me! I was diagnosed on 9th March (a day before you) and agree that the las few weeks have been so surreal! I had a lumpectomy and auxillary clerance on the 14th March but the margins weren't clear so a mastectomy will be required after chemo. I start chemo on Wednesday and have already ordered a wig in preparation! I too am more spiritual than religious altho I haven't actually been to see anyone, but have been considering it. I also talk to my angels and bought a beautiful statue which sits in my bedroom. My friend also bought me a willow "angel of courage" and I use my angel healing cards most days with some amazing messages coming through! I think that in times such as this, we all turn to whatever helps us through. I haven't joined any support groups yet, but have found this website great and have read some wonderful stories and blogs. Angels come in all forms, both ethereal and earthly, and I feel blessed to be surrounded by so many.
Take care and stay strong xx
