The Journey
No wonder they call it a journey - It can be a real bumpy road. The past couple of months I have felt like I am in some kind of crazy bad dream. I have had the 'lumpectomy' then the partial mastecto...
Yes ladies, I do believe in things that happen for a reason. We moved to this place after my late Mother's house sold - it was the cheapest we could find. As we figured we wouldn't stay, we didn't go out of our way to 'meet new friends' - however, we never dreamed that they would come to us. The people here are 'real country folk' - inviting us into their homes, making us 'apple pie' and even a birthday cake for me....making us feel welcome.
We had told the housing people we would not be able to move for obvious reasons - but they still offered (and went out of their way to tell us ''it was brand new". But I have surgery on Tuesday, and my chemo is due to start on the 13th. The town where the unit was offered is a couple of hundred kilometres away...just not an option. In the meantime, we have changed our preference to here...You know you said 'some times things are meant to be'....I am getting a strong message, some how some way - we are meant to be here. I didn't handle the disappointment well, but am coming to terms with the fact that this is where we are, and the people are very nice. I really shouldn't complain. Thank you ladies for being so understanding and your support - my little pink angels! x
