The Gas Mask

So I had my third chemo session this week, I'm on NAB Paclotaxil and so far it's not been too bad. The one thing I do find though is that my bowels have become a constant source of conversation. Where once me and hubby would sit and chat about what we'd done at work, we now have conversations along the lines of " have you been yet?" And I reply either " no I thought I needed but didn't " or " yes but you better take your gas mask in if your heading in that direction" . And seriously god help the person at work who ventures in to the ladies after me! I sit at my desk surrounded by a noxious green fog, every time I bend over I drop my handbag, float an air biscuit, or just trumpet like a wounded bull elephant! My work colleagues have surrounded my desk with bio hazard tape and flashing lights! Even the dog gets up and moves away from me! Seriously though I know I've been lucky so far, when I talk to others whilst having my chemo, we swap stories like old war vets and compared to what they are going through I count myself as blessed. It's funny but the chemo treatment room is like a club, we feel comfy, the staff are brilliant ( and omg do those girls and boys do some running around, the reception staff too) and it's done with a laugh and good nature.
