The difficulty of choosing optional treatment
Hi, has anyone else been in a position where they have had a hormone sensitive tumour and been offered +/-chemotherapy aswell if I want to have it?
Terrible position to be put in.

My cancer is hormone sensitive too.... i was told I HAD to have chemo, due to the sheer size of my cancer (7cm) and it being in my Lymph nodes.....
I'm not sure why it would be 'optional' but I would definately be asking more in depth questions of your doctors as to why? Find out their thoughts and reasons and then make a decision.... It's not an easy one as chemo is tough, but a necessary evil is some cases....
an informed decision is a good one ..... Hope you find the answers you need
