Thanks for the info @Afraser... I have to see someone at Royal North Shore about this, but it was explained to me that what is straightforward for most, won't be so simple for me. My eyes are similar to those of a diabetic, in so far as they have a very reduced blood flow and thus post surgery repair would be compromised. Also because of these missing small blood vessels within the eye itself, the natural cleaning of the vitreous humor doesn't happen, and instead of dead or old bits and pieces being drained from the eye on into the general blood circulation for removal, these bits (drusen) stay and build up within the eyes. Then there's the scarring and whatever else, which complicates matters. I'm just so tired of this one thing after the other FFS.
