The big day is next Wednesday
Morning ladies I received a call from redcliffe hospital I have my first appointment with my oncologist.. Getting more real now since I've never been to see one can anyone tell me what happens on ure first appointment

- At my first appointment,the oncologist had all my pathology results there,and she explained to me the type of cancer I had,the grade etc.Then she told me the sort of treatment I would need , and why.Thank goodness my husband was with me,because as soon as we got outside,I could hardly remember a thing! Make sure you have someone with you .Cheers Robyn xox

my 1st appointment wasn't like most peoples as she told me I had a 2nd primary cancer but, what she did discuss was my treatment plan, gave me options as to what I may like to do. She did diagrams for me explained the road ahead and what I could expect moving forward.

At my first appointment, we went over my test results from my surgery, and the oncologist went through her treatment plan with me. She actually gave me a choice of a 12wk or 18wk chemo treatment. I was a bit confused as I just thought she would tell me what to do. I received paperwork to read so I could make an informed decision. Hope it all goes well for you, take care,
