Can I take this opportunity to thank Ms Pitcher (surgeon), Dr Greenberg (oncologist) and Dr Guerreri (radiation oncologist) for all of their help and kindness during my surgery and treatments.
I am ok, they are happy with me and now I have to have three monthly visits- my June visit has already been organised by the hospital.

I have to have an operation in the not too distant future regarding my ovaries and fallopian tubes, because of gene mutation, which was found after my DNA sample done at RMH back in March. I got this news last month and since then have had initial consultation with Assoc Prof at Epworth Freemasons in East Melbourne. He recommends that I have the surgery, but as yet a date has not been set, because he is on leave during August. It will be before Christmas though he said.
I have already consented for it to be done. I feel a bit sad about it, simply because I have never experienced the joy of motherhood and at 43 am possibly too old for it now and I don't have a man in my life anyway at the moment, I did, but he was useless, he may well have got me pregnant, but not too sure he would have stuck around.
Otherwise I am ok at the moment, I attended info session on lymphoedema at Sunshine Hospital recently and a menopause info session at the Queen Vic just the other week, all very informative. My breast care nurse was at the L info session at Sunshine and she already knew about me having the gene mutation.
Hope everyone here is doing well, I haven't been on here for a long time. Hair is very curly now.

Like I said somewhere before I have no idea if the specialists read this site, but if they do, I had excellent doctors. My radiation doctor has had other patients in the past, who I personally know ( like friends and neighbours etc) and they all liked him and found him a very easy doctor to talk to.
