Thanks Mich - and Other Positives!

Thank you to Mich for starting the thread about positive thoughts and things to do. Thank you also to all those who posted ideas of thngs they do - will be trying out soe of them.

I know BC, as with any cancer, can cause you to have your down times but there are also those times when you are lifted up. It is what you want to focus on that can be the difference. I have always, no matter how dark things may have seemed, gone looking to the silver lining. It is always there, if you choose to look - sometimes it is hard to find but it will always be there.

I had also been having a hard time reading some posts - I don't think everyone is aware of the amount of support and awareness that there is in the community for BC. Having gone through a "lesser known" cancer myself, I know how it can feel like there are those who don't understand. We are so lucky to have this, and so many other formats and avenues, to connect to others who understand what we are going through. Not all people going through cancer have the same level of support as here - even if you call the Cancer Council - there are just some types of cancer that they can't connect you with others going through the same thing.

So grateful for everyone here this time around! Thank you all.

  • I know what you mean, I have BC but I have been wondering lately if other cancer patients have the same support that we do through this network. It's a shame they don't because frankly I would be lost without the support I have been getting on here. The 'lesser known cancer' is still cancer, hey? Anyway, just my thoughts, take care,
