Hi Julie, Thank you so much for reply. I was thinking of not celebrating my birthday anymore too, but then I remembered my America trip for my 40th I'd been planning with my best friend - I will certainly make an exception then!! What's next for me? I didn't think it was possible but I need more tests done (bone scan, red cell scan on liver and a heart scan). I saw the oncologist yesterday for the first time and he also wants me to get a portacath. Apparently my cancer ticks all the boxes and is quite aggressive. The oncologist explained yesterday that I am at high risk of a relapse so the plan is chemo, herceptin and hormone therapy! I certainly don't do anything by halves. I am fortunate enough to not need radiation though as I only had one node out of 23 involved!! Where are you up to with your treatment? I honestly felt so good yesterday after posting my story - it was like it was final and I had accepted this next stage of my life. xxx
